Weddings are one of our specialities, and our DJs have undertaken thousands of wedding receptions over the years, but we still treat every single one with great care, paying attention to the little details that make all the difference.

We understand that your wedding day is the most important day of your lives, and the entertainment at the reception plays a major part and leaves a lasting impression on you and your guests. It is the time when you can finally relax and mix with your guests and really celebrate your marriage.

Many mobile DJ companies will offer you disco 'packages' – eg a Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze Package for your wedding, etc. However, we at Corabar Entertainment prefer not to put your special event into a standard box: You are individuals and your wedding should reflect your tastes, not conform to any set package that may be on offer. We believe that everyone deserves to have the entertainment tailored to their specific needs.

Usually, the music at a wedding reception needs to be tremendously varied, so that everyone from children and teenagers, through to Great Aunts and Uncles leave at the end of the evening feeling that there was something for them: But of course, we will always be guided by you as to what sort of music you would like played.

Wedding Receptions can take many forms. Even if people are having a traditional wedding, wedding traditions vary from place to place and family to family. We make sure that we get as much information as possible from you before your wedding day so that the DJ can make the evening more personal to those involved. We will gladly spend as long as you wish discussing your particular requirements with you, but as a matter of course (in addition to the more obvious questions of when and where etc) we will ask you:-

• If you are having your Wedding Breakfast in the same room as the evening party, would you like us to set up earlier in the day?
• Do you have any preference on the eras and genres of music played?
• How would you prefer your DJ dressed for the occasion?
• Are you having a 'First Dance' and, if so, what is it?
• Are you having any of the other traditional dances? (eg Bride/Father of the Bride or Father of the Groom/Mother of the Bride)
• Will you have guests of all ages?
• What are the names of all the people in the Wedding Party?
• Are you having an evening buffet, and if so, what time is it planned?
• Are you having any other entertainment during the course of the evening?
• Are you observing any of the other traditions during the evening such as cutting the cake, the bride throwing her garter and/or bouquet, the wedding archway, etc and, if so, do you require any specific music played?
• Are there any other songs you would like played? (Just other songs you particularly like, as opposed to those played for any particular reason!)
• Are there any songs you do not want played?
• We have an interactive online system that allows you to search our music database, specify the songs you must have, those you would like, and those you do not want played. You can save this list and come back to it time and time again and when you are happy, you can submit you request list directly to us
• We will also set up a special web page where your guests can go to make requests as well. We provide you with the web address (URL) and you can decide whether or not to pass this information on to your guests.

We will try and accommodate any special request you may have – musical or otherwise. If you request songs in advance that we do not have, we will do everything in our power to get them for you if they are commercially available in the UK and we will not charge you for this.

Having said all of the above, we realise that not everyone knows exactly what they want and would appreciate some help and advice from us – which we are happy to give. If you are happy to leave the musical selection to our DJs, you will not regret it: They have spent years honing their skills and learning to 'read' a crowd. Not sure about timings for the evening? Discuss it with us and we can come up with a rough 'timetable' to give the best flow to the evening. And don't forget, we have come across many other wedding professionals over the years, so if you are having trouble sourcing a particular item or service for your wedding, ask us if we know of anyone.

Many people prefer to have live music at their wedding reception. Although this can be wonderful entertainment, bands rarely play more than 2 x one hour sets, or 3 x 40 minute sets – meaning that your reception can be a little 'stop-start'. If you book us as well as a live band, we can play before, during breaks, and after the band has finished giving you continuous entertainment throughout the evening. We have experience of, and are happy to work alongside any live entertainment you may have booked. Give us their details and we will contact them before your big day to obtain their set-list and make sure that we do not play the songs that they are going to play.
